In April 2012 two more TEMAK Reverse Osmosis systems were set in operation.  Each system produces 17 m³/day of water with conductivity < 500 μS/cm, suitable for general uses on board, such as showers, cooking, washing etc.  The feed water to this system comes from sea-chest line and conductivity is more than 35.000 ppm TDS.

The system was installed from ship personnel, on ship, with the presence of TEMAK’s technician in Ghana. The whole two units were installed and started operating in less than 4 days. 

It is a Single pass Reverse Osmosis unit with pre-treatment consisting of a Turbidity filter and Active Carbon filter fully automatic and self-cleaning.

The electrical panel is -as always- made by TEMAK and in a philosophy that maintenance from ship personnel is very easy. The feed pump is made out of 316L AISI with passivation treatment ensuring high performance and endurance.

Additionally, the piping from High Pressure Pump is totally made out of INOX SS type SAF 2705, minimizing corrosion effects and leakages. All the piping in the Inlet of the system as well as in the production line is made out of PVC PN16 also for eliminating corrosion effects that may occur.
